Issue Position

The expansion of broadband and high-speed Internet access to rural communities is vitally important to District 6 and our neighboring districts. Rural areas are often under-served by the existing communication infrastructure, and broadband is currently unavailable to nearly two million Texans. This lack of connectivity impacts students' ability to learn and businesses' ability to expand and flourish. I intend to work toward a more equitably-connected Texas, where members of rural communities are not left behind, and all Texans have the opportunity to benefit from the advantages of modern technology.
